I’ve been living with my partner in a pretty small apartment for the last year, and we’ve had to learn a lot about "digital boundaries." I used to feel weird about watching
when they were just in the next room, but we finally just talked about it. We agreed that having your own private digital time is important and doesn't mean you're excluding the other person. It’s just like having a separate hobby. Once we set those "ground rules," all the awkwardness disappeared. It’s all about knowing that you’re allowed to have your own space, even in a shared life. How do you guys manage your private digital time when you live in close quarters with someone else?

Just popped in to see what’s trending on the boards today while I’m waiting for my coffee. This is a very practical and mature discussion on shared living. I think every couple struggles with the balance of "togetherness vs. privacy" at some point, especially with how much of our lives are on our phones now. It’s cool to see people finding solutions that work for them. I’m usually out on the trails during my free time to get away from screens entirely, but I appreciate the honest advice being shared here. I’m off to pack my gear for a trip tomorrow, but have a great day, everyone!
